ATTENTION LOUISIANA HORSEMEN
/HB 384 – Schexnayder Horse Aftercare – LSRC Meeting Agenda Amendment
The Louisiana Horsemen’s Benevolent and Protective Association 1993, inc. (LAHBPA), by Statute, represents horsemen in the State of Louisiana.
The Louisiana State Racing Commission (LSRC) is, by Statute, the regulatory agency for the Horse Racing industry in Louisiana.
To advocate for best practices and for the over 7,000 horsemen in Louisiana, timely consideration by the LSRC is paramount.
To accomplish its representation of the Horsemen in Louisiana, the LAHBPA’s proposals to the LSRC must be addressed when requested for the success of the industry.
This is the first time this has been proposed and all that the amendment does is get Horsemen’s issues on the LSRC agenda if the LAHBPA makes a request 10 days before a meeting.
