Welcome to Copper Crowne, Louisiana's premier equestrian center, centrally located on 210 acres of lush, oak-lined pastureland. Our facility is dedicated to providing the best possible facilities and services for equestrian breeders, trainers and owners. Our mission is simple: create an unparalleled facility that balances nature, horses and people to provide highest level of care, training and boarding.
Our concept was to build an equestrian training center, but not just any equestrian training center. This one would be the ultimate training center, complete with:
A 20,000-square-foot small and large animal veterinary clinic
State-of-the art barns complete with offices and living quarters
Spacious turnout paddocks with each barn
A 150 x 250-foot arena
A 6½ furlong training track sanctioned by Louisiana Racing Commission for official workouts
A luxurious 70-stall rehab facility
Foaling and boarding facilities available to hundreds of horses
The full-service facility would be on a historic and picturesque 210-plus-acre property with rolling hills, walking trails, and lush, tree-lined pastureland. And it would be situated in an ideal location, central to all of the major racetracks in Louisiana. We achieved this dream when we opened in September 2010 with outstanding success, and are proud to be a part of the Louisiana racing community.

Training Center
The Training Center at Copper Crowne is a unique, all inclusive, state-of-the-art facility in Louisiana. Our 6½ furlong, sand-based training track was designed by Steve Greene of Horseman’s Track and Equipment in Lexington, KY. Sanctioned by the Louisiana Racing Commission for Official Works and Gate Cards, Copper Crowne’s training track provides a safe and consistent training surface. Safety is ensured on the 65-foot-wide track with inner and outer safety railings. Our training track features wide, sweeping turns, professional in-house maintenance and includes two chutes & starting gates.

Copper Crowne Training Center offers year-round boarding for trainers and their employees. The new, well-constructed, 56 stall barns, each with adjacent turn-out paddocks, are designed with very high rooflines and Big Ass Fans® for maximum air-flow and ventilation. The spacious stalls, indoor wash racks with hot and cold water, walking wheels and 12-foot-wide shedrows are perfect for your horses. Offices, storage space, staff dorms and full baths are included within each barn, further enhancing the value of our facilities.
Please note that as The Training Center at Copper Crowne is a fully licensed and sanctioned training center with official works and gate cards, we require all training personnel to have a valid license from the Louisiana State Racing Commission. For further information, click here.
