HBPA ELECTION NOTICE

NOMINATIONS FOR THE MARCH 31, 2011 ELECTION FOR BOARD MEMBERS AND PRESIDENT- CHAIRMAN OF THE HBPA

THE NOMINATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED 

BY the DEADLINE DATE of  DECEMBER 20, 2010.
 

THE NOMINATION PROCESS HAS BEEN SIMPLIFIED. 

HERE IS HOW TO NOMINATE A CANDIDATE FOR ELECTION TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND FOR PRESIDENT- CHAIRMAN:

All nominations must be written, be signed, clearly identify the person or persons making the nomination, be unambiguous (clear) as to the Member or Members being nominated, be unambiguous (clear) as to the position or category of position to which any Member is being nominated and must be received by TrueBallot, Inc. at the address below not later than the deadline date of December 20, 2010 for nominations in order for a nomination to be valid. 

A candidate may be nominated to run for and may only serve in one elected office. 

You must send or deliver the nominations to TrueBallot, Inc. and since getting your nominations to them is your responsibility you may wish to send by more than one method. Their contact information for mailing and emailing is as follows:

CEM Outbreak Update

 

In December 2008, the Kentucky Department of Agriculture announced that a quarter horse stallion tested positive for Contagious Equine Metritis (CEM) during routine testing for international semen shipment. Since this discovery a full epidemiological investigation has been underway to locate, test and quarantine any potentially exposed horses. An exposed horse is one that was bred to a positive horse, either naturally or via artificial insemination

Groom Elite Founder to attempt feat no female equestrian has accomplished

No stranger to doing something no one before her had ever done, Susan O'Hara-Bates, founder, past board president and currently The Groom Elite Program’s Secretary-Treasurer will attempt something no other woman has completed in its entirety when she sets out on May 1 to ride the 2,650 mile Pacific Crest Trail from Mexico to Canada.  The trek starts near Lake Moreno in California the first of May and ends 5.5 months later 30 miles past Hart’s Pass, Washington, some 6800 feet above sea level.
